NEW YORK CITY RACES - Term limits has made NYC the hottest local political races in the country – over 250 hopefuls have filed for Council and mayoral races and the filing deadline doesn’t occur for several months. We have an initial list. (Compliments of Jerry Skurnick, Prime New York, PrimeNY711@aol.com) For analysis of the NY races, check out Joseph Mercurio’s newsletter – http://www.nationalpolitical.com/column-toc.htm

The American Association of Political Consultants  (http://www.theaapc.com) honored 25 web sites that have changed the world of the Internet and Politics.

PRACTICAL POLITICS:
  • http://www.congressionalreportcards.org   It is a non partisan analysis of congressional voting records, combining a Member’s voting record and the legislative position of one or more advocacy groups.  Voting scores run the full gamut, from the ACLU to the John Birch Society.
  • http://www.politicalwire.com   A excellent news and political portal, published by Taegan Goddard.  Of interest is a daily summary, “Goddard’s Political Wire”, with links to the full story.  There are quick links to the major news channels.  He just inaugurated a state politics section, and he is looking for tips to post.

  •  http://www.political1.com - A political portal to state governmental and political information. In-depth and comprehensive coverage of state information.  The information is up-to-date and easy to locate. You can sign up for email alerts.

  •  http://www.palmettojournal.com - South Carolina “Drudge Report.” Put out by Editor Jeff Quinton.   State News, gossip, live webcasts of the SC House and Senate.  This site will be added to our State Links page – we have over 50 web sites that specialize in individual state information.

  • http://www.100daysofbush.com - Authorized and paid for by the DNC, this list is certain to be controversial. There is a day-by-day chronology.  What campaign promises has Bush been unwilling, or unable to keep? How have Bush’s priorities been reflected in the actions of his Administration?

  • http://Bret2001.com - Schundler for Governor – NJ is one of the few states with legislative and statewide elections this year. This site is well constructed, clean, easy to maneuver, with good contact and volunteer pages. The urgent message flashing across the screen is an effective feature.

POLITICAL TELESERVICES ON LINE – An essential part of voter contact is telemarketing, from GOTV, persuasion, ID, fundraising, polling, to automated and interactive programs.  You can check out telemarketing companies on-line.

 VENDOR TIPS:
We have initiated a new page on our home page geared to political professionals.  Who’s running, who might run and who is thinking about running.
