International and National Web Sites http://www.agora.stm.it/politic - This is a huge international directory of web sites with links by country, parties, organizations, governments and media. Originates in Italy.

Richard Kimber’s Political Science Resources http://www.psr.keele.ac.uk/ This is another huge international directory of web sites. The information is organized by country, by political parties, with a special section on British politics, where the site originates. Of interest is the section on super-national web sites, from the UN to the G7.

Macronet http://www.macronet.org/ This is non-profit educational clearing house for progressive information. Editor Sandi Brockway has put together directories, databases and connections with individual people. There is also a printed handbank available.

Right Now - http://www.rightnow.org/   This is a large database of links to conservative issues, continually expanding. Organized by links to pro-life, conservative, Republican, Libertarian, Broadcasters and much more.

ILWU (International Longshore & Warehouse Union) http://www.ilwu.com Labor activist site, founded by Richard Van Schaick after a successful organizing campaign. An inspiration to others. Includes history, news, other locals and resources for organizing, links to ongoing struggles, and governmental resources. .

Public Citizen - http://www.citizen.org/ This is Ralph Nader’s group. Their mission - to protect health, safety and democracy. The Congress Watch focuses on consumer and citizen interest following such issues as campaign finance reform, the tobacco deal and ethics and congressional reform.

Lexrex Site - http://www.lexrex.com/interactive/eg/main.html This is a computer game sensation sweeping all the federal agencies. It is played by government employees. Check out all of the angles. The game show P.A.L. @ Ethics game is offered by the US Office of Government Ethics (OGE). .

BIPAC (Business & Industry PAC) - http://www.bipac.org Business organization devoted to electing pro-business candidates. Founded in 1963. Independent, bi-partisan. It has two divisions: a PAC which donates to political candidates and a research arm which provides a program of political analysis, research and communication on campaigns and elections.

Alioto for Sec. Of State (CA) - http://www.alioto98.com/alioto.html First political campaign in the country to post the Alioto contributors and those of the republican competition, on the internet.

California Voter Foundation - http://www.calvoter.org This site has added a new feature - "follow the money", a database of statewide campaign and ballot measure contributions on the Internet. You can find top contributors for each major party statewide, late contributions, and other financial data. The Calvoter site is worth a look as an example of an excellent statewide site for political information.

Alliance for Better Campaigns - http://www.bettercampaigns.org This site is maintained by a public interest group to promote higher standards for candidate accountability, media coverage and citizen engagement. They have alliances in ten states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, IA, MD, TX, OR, MN.

Iowa Non-official Republican Site - http://www.republicanwinners.com Some useful data - how many days Republican presidential candidates have spent in Iowa. Updated four times a week with federal, state and local information. While it is published by the Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa, it has no official affiliation.

Skeleton Closet - http://www.realchange.org/ All the scandals in all of the presidential candidates, maintained by a group of friends in Portland, OR. No one remains unscathed. They’re just getting started for 2000. Real People for Real Change, a non-affiliated, independent PAC.
