Interactive History http://library.advanced.org/12587/index.html   For the student, this is a nicely framed Website summarizing the history of politics and political campaigns. It weaves a time line with personalities and parties involved. This was developed by students for Think Quest, a non-profit corporation dedicated to advancing education.

Daryl Cagle’s Professional Cartoonists Index http://www.cagle.com/ This is an extensive database of top newspaper editorial cartoons. Some are clever, scathing and wickedly funny. Visit the Gingrich file and the best of the White House scandal.

Government and Politics on the Net  http://alishaw.sscf.ucsb.edu/~survey1/    An on-going study to understand whether and how the Net is altering political participation and public deliberation in the U.S. Housed at UC - Santa Barbara, the project is chaired by Bruce Bimber. The focus is on whether the internet will contribute to more populist politics and more activist political participation. There are a number of interesting articles, statistics and demographics on Net usage.

Mother Jones Magazine (The MoJo Wire) http://www.mojones.com/  The Site contains investigative journalism, interactive exposes and politics from Mother Jones. Read the 15 year coverage of Newt and the profiles of the top 400 political donors.

National Review Online http://www.nationalreview.com/    This Site provides conservative commentary on today’s issues. Of interest is Bill Buckley’s word of the day, the Washington Bulletin which can be emailed to you directly.

Ventura Ad Watch http://www.ktca.org/election98/adwatch.html This site follow the Ventura ads as they developed throughout his campaign. There are other Minnesota candidate spots as well, on the Site.

More Ventura Ad Watch http://www.pbs.org/election98/adwatch/index.html   In addition to the Ventura ads, there are a number of other issue ads highlighted. The PSB site is another excellent election coverage location.

Governor Elect Jesse Ventura web site http://www.jesseventura.org  Take a look at Jesse Ventura’s Web Site. According to the New York Times (11/6/98), Web interest added a 3 to 5 points to his overall victory.

MN-Politics E-mail Discussion Forum on Jesse Ventura http://www.egroups.com/list/mn-politics/   There has been and is a lot of interest and discussion within Minnesota on Ventura’s campaign and his Gubernatorial success.
