candidates who have been mentioned as serious possibilities for the seven national
political parties. These parties are in order by their showing in the 2000 election, the
candidates within them alphabetically. The 1-10 number beside each candidate denotes
her/his likelihood to run for president in 2004, with "1" highly unlikely and
"10" an announced candidate. This will be updated regularly. Please note:
Atthistime, these numbers denote only the likelihood of one's choosing to become an
announced candidate, not likelihood of actually winning a party's nomination.
