GA - Open Seat – 5 Republicans vying for the nomination: former GA Sec of State Karen Handel, Rep. Parul Broun, Rep. Phil Gingrey, Rep. Jack Kinston and David Purdue (cousin to former Gov. Sonny Purdue).
MI - Open Senate Seat replacing retiring Sen. Carl Levin – Rep. Gary Peters (D) will likely run. Republican Reps Mike Rogers and Justin Amash are said to be interested.
IA - Open Senate Seat – Conservative Rep Steve King (R) will not run for the open Senate seat. Other Republicans will enter the race but Rep. Bruce Braley (D) is the current front-runner.
NY - NYC Mayoral Election – Nov. 2013 – Former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D) is considering entering the Democratic Primary.
PA - Open Seat – CD13 – St. Rep. Mark Cohen (D) enters the race. Already in the race: St.Sen. Daylin Leach (D), former Phila. City Controller Jonathan Saidel (D) and physician Van Arkoosh (D).
IL - CD11 – Rep. Bill Foster (D) will be challenged by St. Rep Darlene Senger (R) and Grundy Cty Board Member Chris Balkema (R).
LA - Senate – Mary Landrieu (D) will be challenged by Rep. Bill Cassidy (R) in 2014. CQ Roll Call calls the race “competitive.”
SC - <Special Election – May 7th – CD1 – Former Gov. Mark Sanford (R) faces Elizabeth Colbert Busch (D). The race is competitive.
SC- CD 1 – Open Seat. Repub run-off 4/2/13. Former Gov Mark Sanford received 37% of the vote and will face either Custis Bostic or St Sen Larry Groom (less than 1% of the vote separates them). The winner will face Elizabeth Colbert Busch on 5/7/13 in the special general election. The seat is likely Republican (from Roll Call).
PA- Gov Race 2014 – Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D) will probably face Gov. Tom Corbett (R).
PA – CD 13 – Probable open seat – Probable Democratic seat. Already announced is Univ of Penn. Professor Valeria Arkoosh. Also interested are: St. Rep Brendan Boyle, St. Sen. Michael Stack, former Philadelphia City Controller Jonathan Saidel, and Montgomery Cty Comm. Josh Shapiro (from Politico).
