Description: The City of Newport Beach, one of
Southern California's most scenic and dynamic beach communities, has a
full time opening for a qualified Community Relations Officer in the City
Manager Department. The Community Relations Officer is a newly approved
management position which reports directly to the City Manager while
working closely with the City Council, Public Information Officers for
NBTV, Police and Fire Departments. This position is responsible for the
coordination of City-wide communications, marketing and community
relations programs and serves as the primary communication link with the
media.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICER (Salary: $5,482 - $7,709/month, plus
excellent benefits.) A qualified candidate will have a minimum of three
years of increasingly responsible public relations, marketing or media
relations experience and a Bachelor's degree in public relations,
communications, marketing, public administration or closely related field.
Experience performing public relations in a municipal environment and
