The ALMANAC OF FEDERAL PACs

The ALMANAC OF FEDERAL PACs

The Almanac of Federal PACs is a highly acclaimed reference work that has been published every two years since 1986. Its current (2000-2001) edition provides users with critical background information about corporations, trade associations, labor unions, legislative interest groups and ideological organizations whose PACs contributed at least $5,000 to federal candidates in the last election. It is used extensively by candidates for their own campaign fundraising as well as for opposition research; and by the news media as a handy guide for analyzing PAC contributions to particular candidates. The Almanac is written by Edward Zuckerman, a veteran news reporter who began covering campaign finance in 1972.
