Begun in 1978, Southern Political Report is a newsletter covering the politics of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. SPR anticipates regional trends, analyzes issues and their effects on the Southern electorate, reports on campaigns and makes forecasts on the prospects of candidates for the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, governor and others.
